Anyone else currently grinding to play and or own all the tanks in a nation? I have been slowly creeping through the Us tree. I probably should have been done now but there have been on tracks along the way, nation specific ops, french lights to play, high tier lights in other nations released etc etc... Overall I've had a blast and am soooo close! Well anyway, anyone else doing this? Which nation you choose and where are you at in the grind? I am 2/3's done to the E5 and am sitting at T7 on both Td lines, 7 tanks to go WOOT!

Yes, eventually that is my plan - but I've only been playing about 6 months or so; so focusing on specific tanks/tank lines is more important to me than just grinding out all lines.

I'm trying to unlock all the Soviet Tanks. Tis a huge task considering the huge number of tanks they have.
Current task is to unlock the 268, Only 18,000 away from the 704 and get the arty to tier 7, Which I have unlocked but haven't touched the tier 6 on yet. Every other uncompleted line is at tier 7, Except the 140 which at the T-54. I could probably unlock that easy, but I just don't want to play the 54 anymore.

Yeah i did a cheevo break that took me through the Kv tanks and French arty. Russian heavies are very fun so I kept my Kv 1, 1s, 85 and even bought the IS and Tiger to compare to the T29 for best T7 heavy debates lol. Vk 3601 has a home in my garage since its that much fun. I've even been pretty good and not buying/ converting xp but will use earned xp to "finish" a grind if the tank is shit.

So what nation caught your eye? What tanks did you just have to have first lol. First I needed the Hellcat, Chaffee, KV-2, Tiger I, Brosig™, T-34-85 (going for T-54). Also working for T29, E 50 and ISU-152 |

I actually JUST finished up the American Tech Tree a couple of weeks ago when I cranked through the artillery line. Just a word of warning that the Tier VIII TD's are frustrating to play if you're used to manoeuvrability; the T28 and the Proto really plod along at about 20 Km/hr and can be left behind when your team makes a mad dash and crushes the Reds. Free XP your way out of the stock gun at the very least and it should make it slightly more tolerable. Also, the Proto's advertised frontal armour is not as good as advertised as the thick armour is only on a specific area on the turret and the cheeks are easily penned. Otherwise, good luck! You will have a great feeling of accomplishment when it's done. |
