Here's the practice run from my last race. All the cracks in the road made it more fun while the length of the coarse turn your legs in to rubber. Also the first time I raced without leathers thanks to the heat! I lost in longboard class but won the Classic luge race!

My "race car", it's a Moonshine Tucker made in the USA with vertical laminate maple reinforced with fiberglass layers on the top and bottom with urethane bumpers on the edge all the way around and on the truck mounts. The trucks are precision Ronin Prolites with a 45° baseplate up front and a 20° baseplate in the back with 98a "Horchata " bushings boardside and 95a "Iced Tea" bushings roadside front and back. The footstop is my custom diy design made from an old skateboard and the foam wedge in the back is a Venom Torque Block it helps me stay on the board and stay locked in. The Vicious grip tape also helps. The wheels are 78mm tall 70mm wide Venom Magnums 76a in the front 74a in the back for extra grip and they roll on Zealous ceramic bearings. I've taken it to 49 mph and down some brutally rough roads, and fearlessly over railroad tracks! It's been my setup for over a year now and I'm stickin with it, just need to keep working on my skills! I know it's just a skateboard but damn I have alot if fun on it!  |

I'd be a walking road rash if I even attempted that! The speed wobble is a combination of too much speed and loose trucks. I could've gone faster if I had tightened them down more |

"You do't quit skateboarding becuase you get old, you got old becuase you quit skateboarding" -Jay Adams Words that so many skaters live by. Hell I even lived by them for a minute. Now I'm just sick of going down the same old hills over and over. Doing the same lame ass tricks I was doing years ago on the same tiny ass ramps. Coming in last in just about every race I went to last season didn't help either. Sure I could get in shape and maybe keep up but I just don't care at this point. Maybe if I had one local buddy to skate with it wouldn't be so bad. I even found a guy trying to sell his longboard in the FB market place. He would rather take a 300 dollar loss on a board "that's only been skated once or twice" than try and learn how to actually longboard. Going down big ass hills was fun but now I need bigger better hills to make it fun like it was. I'm not really giving up, I'll dust off my luge if I ever get find myself going to the mountains. I'm just not the "hardcore" skater anymore. Going out and skating is just a pain in the ass now and the fun factor is gone. Just didn't think it would happen so early. Honestly wondering what will be next, kinda out of fucks to give about anything. That's all for now I guess. Oh here's the trophy I made for the league I tried to get started. This will probably be the only one since nobody really cared when I posted it on the page a month ago.  |

I've seen your posts on boarding and have thought it's cool. I don't know if you ever tried surfing or anything like that, but maybe you'd like it since you've enjoyed it in this way. You sound discouraged and it is getting to be that time of the year where a lot of people deal with that. I hope you can keep your head up and find enjoyment in another hobby. |

I got bored of skateboarding too, finding decent facilities was a nightmare, and I had spent so much on my deck, I was not going to start throwing myself off of buildings with it. I don't think it helped that when I started we were really lucky in having a massive set of half pipes and ramps near our school. All the half pipes and big ramps were metal, and had been made by someone who skated. Old age and a change in skater culture finished it off for me. We were all beach bums and surfers/body borders. It was a laid back pass time, but the new generation just weren't as chilled. People began dumping rubbish in the parks, drugs, violence. Mistreating the ramps. Gone are the days where in-between skating we'd be all hunched around imported magazines looking at the latest trucks and bearings. Or showing off our latest decals or custom paint jobs. |

Next is a shot from a few years back of me on my ramp, this was at my birthday skate jam. Miss that ramp, put my heart and soul into it building it with the finest materials and all my experience from working on houses. Gave it to the wrong person, asshole never skates it. Then there's a shot of my newest hobby. Radio control rock cawling. Went out to Kansas city to try out a r/c rock crawling comp. It was just a fun comp but my budget model Redcat hung well with the high dollar Axials!
