So, I'm in the best package in the t28 working toward the t95. Does it play vastly different? Seems like the t95 can get a little closer to the action than the t28, provided I can keep the enemy from flanking.
Also what crew skills should I work for it, I have a one skill crew I can transfer to it (sixth sense).

Good thing about the T95 is that generally you won't get penned loads i the front, unlike the T28 where a tank with 220mm+ pen can pen the flat bit on the front of your tank.
IMO it shines at medium range holding corridors of a map. Getting too close can lead to flanking and shooting of the cupolas.

I've been playing the t28 mid to long range and it's been going pretty ok.

Even with prem penning the front of theT95 is a challenge I think. although the slightly sloped part under the gun mantlet is weaker than the rest of the tank. Something like 250mm effective (probably wrong) so just be aware of that. |

I do want to get the T28 and T95. I just recently unlocked the T28 Prot. haven't started that line yet. Cheers for the advice.

Very situational. You can have absolutely beast moments in it. Other times you can just get molested right away by flanking mediums or arty or even lights. As long as you angle a little your hull will hold out against most tier 8 tanks. It's wise not to trust that armour against tier 9 or 10's though. |

It goes about half the speed and and turns a lot slower, but it trades it for a lot better armor. The farther away you can get shots the better, hull down so they only have cupola shots since heat slices through the lower plate without much trouble.

I'm grinding a stock T28 Proto and platooning occasionally with a friend who has a stock T28. These tanks are brutal. I know they can better but currently it is so painful to play. I don't know how you guys do it. Almost to the first package, so hopefully that at least helps a little bit.
I have seen T28s basically just sit there and deflect, while dealing punishment (no arty). So I would assume it plays like a T95. The Proto I really don't know what to think. I'm almost wondering if I'm just wasting my time, to be honest lol.

Wiggle and move between shots. You will get penned in weak spots if you sit too still. Get a rock or incline in front of your lower plate, and wiggle to protect your top hatches. You can also get a little angle on your good side armor if they get on your flank. Just don't keep them on your flank for long. Use cover or your support to watch your sides and rear.
It's a terribly frustrating tank to play because you'll find the battle went on without you and you didn't get hardly any shots off. You can have a zero damage game through no fault of your own, just stupid luck of where the reds went. I run a fair amount of premium for those times. If you only get 2-3 shots in a match because the reds are dying to quickly, you want to make sure they pen. Also, your tracks are a weak spot. Like shooting your track from the front will sometimes damage your tank.
